“Time is Like a River” is a song about memory and personal loss. 2020 has been year where so many of us have experienced significant change and have lost loved ones. Sometimes when one is in nature, perhaps canoeing on a quiet lake or river, with birds calling in the distance, one can feel the presence of those who have passed on through to the other world. The veil of time and distance is lifted and the “memories fall like photographs from an old memoir”. This song is meant to be a a comfort and tribute to how brave the ones who remain here on this beautiful earthly plain must be, to journey on alone.
